Museum of Brands

Delve into 150 years of British consumer heritage as you explore how well-loved brands such as Oxo, Marmite and Twining’s have evolved since the Victorian era right through to present day. The Museum shows the development of brands, packaging and advertising through displays of more than 12,000 items of posters, toys, games, fashion and technology. British consumer society and culture is revealed through the changes in social taste, the evolution of graphic design and the influence of events such as the WWII, the Suffrage Movement, the Queen’s Coronation and the 1966 World Cup. With the temporary exhibition and displays programme there is every reason to visit time and time again, perfect for lovers of social history, graphic design, marketing and branding. The museum shows how brands and advertising play a part in our day-to-day lives. This experience would not be complete without a visit to the museum's award-winning garden and cafe.
